Pardon the Interruption

Hello all intended and concerned,

Just to let you kids know, two days ago there was a terrorist attack in India, and we just arrived there at this moment. So no we were not there during the attack and yes we are still here. We are not going near the town of Varanasi, me or anyone on the ship, and hopefully there won’t be anything else going on cause its ho enough here as it is. I am off to Bollywood, Mallalumpara, and then maybe a little fun on the last day. So I’ll see you all again in six days.

I feel kinda out of the loop because I haven't been around news sources lately. but, I'm glad you're alright, and hopefully you all will stay safe through the rest of the semester. Oh, and have fun in Bollywood! I was hoping you would be going there!

If the casting people get a look at you in Bollywood, you may get offered a role as an American expat who falls in love with a Brahmin princess whose parents disapprove of you, and burst into song as they forbid you to marry their daughter, even though you turn Hindu and take the path of non-violence. To prove that you are sincere, you visit an orphanage to donate all of your personal possessions, suddenly bursting into song and dancing with the little children. You discover that one of the children is actually the only son of the princess' parents who had been kidnapped from his crib by Pakistani terrorists. You take the boy to a reunion with his family and suddenly burst into song and dance with the entire city as there is now an heir to prevent anarchy from taking over should the father be assassinated by Pakistani terrorists. You and the princess have a big wedding where everyone suddenly bursts into song and dance. You go on a honeymoon in Varanasi where you foil the Pakastani terrorist plot to blow up the main Hindu temple, and as you are disarming the bomb, you suddenly burst into song and dance with the security people, then you finish disarming the bomb and help arrest the terrorists. The semester at sea kids are released from their ship and can visit the village, and upon their arrival they burst into song and dance after which they hold a feast in your honor.....the end.

Until we meet in the 'Nam, keep having fun and don't step in any cobra holes.

Mike

THIS IS FOR CHARLIE'S MOM! I was talking to Charlie about sending a small package with you when you go visit him. Would that be possible? Let me know, I would REALLY appreciate it! :-)

Alyssa: don't feel bad. When Charlie called to tell me he was ok after the attack i had to ask him what attack?
Melissa: yes. I will meet you to get the package. I leave in a week. will get in touch with u.
Charlie: Mike missed his calling to be a 'musical playwrite' didn't he? Glad you are fine. Not sure what Catie is going to do now. Yikes. I am told to bring my own chopsticks with me because of sanitation issues. will bring some for u. also told it is very hot and we can expect long wait( so many of us coming) to clear customs to board ship but to plan on being onboard by noon. Gophers advance as we swept past Seawolves. Cretin and St. thomas are winners of state hockey tourn. Roloson traded to Oilers. These are signs of spring. Robins in yard this am and geese arrived when i filled their feeder this morning. they asked me if you were going to put up your gazebo again. they are now standing where the door was to it. temp hit year high of 54 Friday. thank you from bottom of my heart suggesting i join running club. yesterday they asked me if i would coach a team. why not? you always said i should. i get my own home and away uniform! today first day of withdrawal after 4 straight days of hockey. trying to get Lance to get Hetti job in hockey since she camped in a suite there the entire 4 days. she came out for air for dinner breaks to meet Molly and I for coffee. as u can see, nothing has changed here. march madness is upon us with 'winter storm approaching' us tonight. no longer sure what that definition is since we only shoveled drive once since u left. everyone fine. hope u are too. 14 more sleeps; elephant very slow but time fast when mike bursts into song and dance for all us parents. don't worry. u will hear us coming.

Hope you're having fun and staying safe! We've got snow coming here tonight. Yuck. Enjoy the warm weather while you can, though of course it will be warm by the time you get back. Wild also traded Willie Mitchell to Dallas. Kind of bummed about that. Maybe you should go play for them. :-)
